Another study on human lymphocyte cells, this time from the Slovak Republic, also
showed damaging effects from exposure to mobile phone radiation.
Sachin Gulati and team exposed human lymphocytes cells to radiation at 1923, 1947.47
and 1977 MHz, the frequency channels used by 3G mobile phones. Exposures lasted
for 1 or 3 hours.
The researchers found that frequency affected the way the lymphocytes responded,
suggesting that future research should test each frequency used by a technology.
They also found a 'small but statistically significant' increase in DNA damage, with
greatest effects at the 1977 MHz carrier frequency.
